Summer Colors - Bright, Bold and Cheerful!

Summer means - days at the beach, bright cheerful flowers, bold, vivacious colors, popsicles & ice cream cones... and bees, but we won't talk about those! :)  It also means we can proudly adorn our ankles with beautiful baubles and our feet in sandals for the world to see!

Having celebrated Memorial Day weekend here in the US, it begins the "unofficial" start of summer.  Kids are nearing the end of school, parents are dreading excited about summer beginning, and with the beautiful weather we've had for the past month, our flowers and gardens look like we're nearing the end of June!  So thus, I'm beginning my "Day at the Beach" designs!

While I don't wear many bracelets, I'm always happy to adorn my ankles with a fun anklet in the summer... different chains, sparkly beads, jingle bells, sea shells... are just a few of my favorite embellishments.  So in the spirit of summer... here's an ode to the start of summer fun and a toast to great summer memories in the making!  Click here if this Anklet is a Must-Have for your summer wardrobe!

Cheers!

Inspired Monday!

I start everyday by making my "To Do" list of what I need to get done today, and bigger things that need to be done this week.  After finishing my list today, two words come to mind.  Holy Cow!

I've got more things to do today than I have hours in the day!  Yikes... and still, I have this burning desire to wish you all a wonderful week.  My two big projects this week are going to be creating special jewelry for two of my nieces for their birthdays.  One turns 15, the other is turning 14.  So they are at that age where they love jewelry.  That's a win for me as the gift giver! :)

I also have something very special I'm putting together for Chris' mom for Mother's Day... but that's absolutely top secret.  So for now, I must abandon my computer and get busy!  Time's ticking!

Here's your bit of jewelry inspiration for the week.  One of the books I have thoroughly enjoyed reading is A Bead in Time by Lisa Crone.  Lisa also runs a great blog and really makes it a point to get to know her readers and her blog followers.  She's become a dear friend and inspires me every day to never be afraid of trying something new!

So here's a spin on one of Lisa's projects in her book, the Golden Gate Bridge Bracelet!  You'll have to get to book to hear how she gained her inspiration for this great bangle.  One thing I can assure you is that you'll absolutely love all of her projects!

Make it a terrific day and have an AWESOME week! :)

Spring, Chocolate & Jewelry

Click here to see this necklace in My Etsy Store!

Spring, Chocolate & Jewelry - Aren't those 3 of your favorite things? Well I love all three and that was my inspiration behind this beautiful pink & chocolate necklace. I love the first flowers - daffodils, tulips, hyacinth... all popping through the ground. I love the smell of brownies baking in the oven, or rich melty chocolate fudge dripping down my sundae. And Jewelry... well that speaks for itself to anybody who knows me. :)

So today as our high temps here in WI struggled to reach hmmmmm 8, yes that is eight, 8 degrees above zero and the wind was biting your cheeks and nose, I made a delicious pot of coffee and sat down to think warmer thoughts. Think of new growth, think of warming sunshine, think of the fawns we see in our woods every May/June. All those things put a wonderful smile on my face.

What spoke to me in creating this design was the soft pink of the pendant and glass beads warmed by the chocolate color of the accent beads. I love pink and brown as a color combination and think this piece really blends the two together beautifully!

Wherever you are, whatever the temperature is in your neighborhood... think spring and all wonderful new growth. Here's to warmer days, and a wonderful year!
